terminator-the-sarah-connor-chronicles

TVbythenumbers.com is reporting that Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles is indeed being canceled, as many of us fans have feared.

As the article points out, the cancellation is especially disappointing given the renewal of Chuck and Dollhouse. Don’t get me wrong: those shows are great, and I’m happy that we’ll be seeing more of them. But TSCC had a far more evolved and complex sci-fi mythos, as well as a raft of intricately drawn characters who were expertly portrayed by the actors who inhabited them (Thomas Dekker, Lena Headey, Summer Glau and who-woulda-thunk-it Brian Austin Greene).

This lends a poignancy to the final shot of the series, in which the disembodied voice of Sarah Connor crackles through the electrical discharge leftover from John’s jump through time: “I love you…” Fade to black.
