Atheism/Skepticism

At the risk of contributing to a circle jerk, I thought I’d post a link to Pandagon about atheism and the Net.  It seems we infidels constitute a large chunk of the blogosphere — that can only be a good thing.

(The link above in turn links to another posting — hence “circle jerk.”  Hypertext is fulfulling its promise! :D )

How to Think About Weird Things : Critical Thinking for a New Age

  • Author: Theodore Schick
  • Year: 2004
  • Publisher: McGraw-Hill Humanities/Social Sciences/Languages
  • ISBN: 007287953X

This is an excellent dissection of various paranormal claims, illustrated in a fun manner. Its graphic “punch” and breezy tone would make it an good primer on critical thinking for high school/college kids.
