Baby 2009 fills me with equal measures of hope and dread. I must let the creature take shape and at least pretend to love it….

Disoriented by the arrival of the baby, 2009. Post-partum uneasiness? Still prune-like and alien, like all infants… not formed yet. Too early to tell.

I am so eager to dance on 2008’s grave. I will be here in LA for the event, which can’t come soon enough.

Los Angeles is hot and lovely. I remain here, hovering by the bedside of 2008, waiting impatiently for it to finally die.

I am still in Los Angeles, and may never leave. I theatrically opted out of the holidays this year, the climate here makes it easy.
