Squidbilly Early Cuyler invades the “Carl’s Stone Cold Lock of the Century of the Week” show at adultswim.com. The “Carl’s Lock” shows may seem like a wacky parody to those of you NOT from New Jersey, but to those of us born there, this is reality television.

Television, my best and oldest friend, may have finally warped my ability to distinguish between the flesh world and the Videodrome.

I just shred real tears over the fictional suicide of the fictional character Kutner on “House, M.D.” (portrayed by fellow Jersey boy Kal Penn, of “Harold and Kumar” fame). It was shocking and dark… I was genuinely rattled.

Apparently the folks at Fox anticipated the sad reaction of those of us who spend most of their time bathed in TV’s glow: at the end of the show, they urged viewers to log on to the “online memorial to Lawrence Kutner” to share their feelings.

I have a headache. Time to watch “24″…
