Stephen Fryh

Stephen Fry’s letter to his younger self is extremely moving and not to be missed.

oldman-dracula

Whitney Sorrow has struck upon the brilliant idea of posting the novel Dracula in blog format — each post corresponds chronologically with the journal entries and letters that make up the classic book.

Get over there now, it’s just getting started… May 7th is an early entry!

Stephen Fry's Twitter background

The incomparable wit, wordsmith and actor Stephen Fry gives a glimmer of what it would be like if Oscar Wilde twittered. (If you haven’t done so, watch Fry’s perfect portrayal of Wilde in the 1997 film, called Wilde, wildly enough….)

I love this tweet:

Also, check out Fry’s twitter background… clever and cool!

"We're Princes of the Universe," by spacesick

Someone on flickr called spacesick has produced some graphic design masterpieces in his (her?) collection entitled The “I Can Read Movies” Series.

The collection imagines the covers of various movie “novelizations”, a favorite genre of mine. The covers are made to look weatherbeaten and aged, as if they’d been pawed by a million lonely hands in a 1970′s library.

Awesome Dalek dresses, from Echidnite's Journal

So nice to know that there are people out there who spazz out over Doctor Who as much as I do.   I discovered these kindred spirits on the blog Echidnite’s Journal….

These brilliant gals wore these Dalek dresses to some dorkfest called “Supernova”, where they encountered two Cybermen: “And YES we smacktalked them”, Echidnite notes. “YOU ARE SUPERIOR TO US IN ONLY ONE RESPECT,” the Dalek dollies reminded the Cybermen.

Go check out the other photos, which are terrific.
